It's a little island that is part of Denmark, but you have to go through Sweden to get to it! Bornholm is to Denmark what Tazmania is to Australia, or Newfoundland is to Canada... the brunt of all jokes! It was a very nice and cozy time though. We hung out at a youth cafe a lot which is owned and run by several of the free churches. It's a safe place in the middle of town where all the teenagers from the different churches can come and meet each other and hang out. I preached there the Friday night. Then on Saturday, we took the tour around the island to see all the sights.

We went to this one rock cliff face by a beautiful lake and went rapelling down the cliff. That was fun, but I enjoyed the free climbing I did on the rocks nearby a little more. I like to have my blood and adrenalin pumping! After that we went to this place by the ocean with a long deep crack cave in the rocks that you could go to the depths of. I was at the front with another girl and we went all the way in. In some places we had to turn sideways and duck to go through because it was so tight. And no one had a flash light, so we were taking many pictures so we could see in front of us! After that we went to a icecream parlor where the Bornholm boys bought me the "world's bigget icecream cone." That was an experience! They wanted me to try to break the record in eating it the fastest. So I tried! I ate it all in 11 minutes! But the record is 8 min and 27 seconds. So I failed. And I have never been so sick in my entire life! I was leaning over the edge of the road trying to puke to feel better. I even tried putting my fingers down my throat, but it didn't work. I make a very bad bulemic! So, the ice cream stayed in my belly and the rest of my day was ruined as I stayed in the car with my plastic bag in case I did throw up. But it was a neat experience and I would do it again if I could turn back time, just for the story!
After church on sunday it was back home on the ferry to my beautiful town of Kolding! I was just about to write about "last weekend" when i realized it was the weekend before that I was thinking of. Okay. Start over. The weekend before was a really good weekend. We were in Sonderborg and I got to preach when I was there. I had an original sermon that I carefully prepared because I knew that the father of one of my students was going to be there. And he is not a Christian. So I did the sermon on Sunday morning. People laughed and had a good time. And I think people really got something out of it. Well, later that week, the dad called his girl and told her to tell the "preacher girl" that "she did a really good job and was really funny." He also liked the fact that I was smiling and having a good time. That was so touching! Praise God. I really hope that a seed was planted in his life. So if you think to pray, pray for Steph's dad. Thanks.

And on a completely different note, I'll talk about this last weekend. Might as well! Hehe.

We had Upload, which is an event for young adults. We set up some cameras to film the entire thing to. And I got to operate the professional stage roaming camera! It was so much fun to get back in it! We also filmed a video this whole weekend that we will use to make a countdown video for Upload to start the services off. It was so fun! I can't wait to see the finished product!

Hello?

Does anyone read this? I was really tired, a lot, but it was good. We arrived at the church Thursday night and had a little service and social time with the youth group there. I preached a short message about the Armor of God. It was a fun time. Then we went up to our room where the 7 of girls slept in one room. Oh the mattress and sleeping bag! My best friend. If only I could sleep like that every night... (Please tell me you note the sarcasm in my typing...) We also didn't have a shower where we stayed either. What doesn't kill you only makes you stronger! Or at least the smell get's stronger! Friday we went to a school in the morning to put on a performance and hang out with the students. Then we went sightseeing and shopping. We shopped for 5 hours! Can you believe it! I was tired let me tell you! Then we went to the largest church in Denmark to participate in their new album recording. It was really good worship, but a long day.
<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp0.blogger.com/_VSWGCgqqrgc/Rf71Cegff9I/AAAAAAAAAEY/XVtpy8Bf-a8/s200/Copenhagenoutreach+008.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5043738055599423442" />
The next day we did some practical work around the church and then taught three dramas to a team that is going on a mission trip to Wales. That was fun, they did a really good job! Then we went to another church at night for a big youth meeting there. We did dances and dramas, and I preached to about 100 people. It was so fun. I loved preaching and it seemed like everyone enjoyed it too. We had so good times chatting then it was back home. Sunday we had service in the morning, relaxing time in the afternoon, then to another worship service at another church. From there I met a friend of mine and went back to her place to spend the night and chitchat as the Euroclassers went home. It was so fun. Now it's back, business as usual!

Football

So I got a text to come to the Cutting Edge young adults group yesterday and bring shoes and clothes to play football in afterwards. Now, me being Canadian, I'm not very good at 'football' or soccer as we would call it. So I wasn't very excited, but whatever, I would play. We had a great session before hand where two guys from the group shared about knowing our identity. Then afterwards, we went over to the Sports Hall where I found out it wasn't scandinavian football but... American football! I was soooo excited. I love American football! (And I'm not too bad at it either). So I was excited to play a fun sport, and not suck. It was a really good night. A few heated arguments and confusion of the rules. But in the end, my team came out victorious! What a game! I have never played it indoors before. But it was fun regardless.

Now this afternoon we are leaving to go to Copenhagen where we will separate into our teams and minister in different churches and suburbs there. I'm preaching tonight at a youth group and really excited for it! God is good! I'll let you know all about it later! God bless!

It was a good weekend!

This was a really good weekend. Today especially! I love hanging out with people! After church I invited some of the girls back to Euroclass to eat lunch. All the students were gone, so we had it to ourselves. Then we went over to the boarding school and played some beach volleyball. It was still cold, but today was gorgeous, and the sun was actually warm! I took my socks and shoes off and suffered the cold sand! Come on! Bring on the summer! Then we watched 'Over the Hedge' with the boys. That is a funny movie. My favorite part is at the end when Hammy drinks the energy drink. So good! Anyways. Then me and the girls hung out, had girl chat, hung out and then went to eat some pizza! Good times were had by all! I feel so good! God is so good! I am getting to hang out with people now! This week has been super cool.
And if you read my last blog, there is something to add! Then next day, after surpising Kasper, we went out to the pool hall again to celebrate... again. And then we went dancing at a little club, all of us. It was fun. It was sober, but it was also loud and crazy, as friends can be in large groups. Anyways, on the way home we had more trouble with the cops! They stopped us this time and Kasper had to do a breathalizer, which he passed, but it was still a little scary! I don't know if I want to drive with him too much, because everytime I do... well. I like taking risks! Who am I kidding, a little adventure never was scared of me!

Well, that's all I have to say.

Time flies

Wow, I just realized that I haven't posted any new blogs for a while! I guess because I'm lazy. Because fun things have happened! Like this week God has been so good to me! I have been invited out by the young adults so many times! I went to Randers with the Cutting Edge band and young adults group and filmed the worship night they had at a church there. That was so fun to get back into it! And then I went to somebody's house after church on Sunday to eat cake and watch a movie! It was so fun. We almost got stopped by the cops on the way home. We were six in the car, uh oh, and could have got a major fine. And my seatbelt didn't work! Yikes! But fortunately the windows were so foggy, from six people, and it was dark out, so I don't think they saw us even though they followed us for a while. Poor Kasper who was driving was shaking afterwards! And speaking of Kasper, today is his birthday, so last night after Cutting Edge, we all went out to play pool as a mini pre-birthday celebration. On the drive home, when each of our watches and cellphones turned 12:00, we sang the birthday song at the top of our lungs! Fun times.

As well, this is a theme week over at the Bible College which we are taking part of. The theme is Worship! So it's been some good worship sessions and Chris DuPre from the States, and some dude Pablo are here to teach us. It's been really good. I guess Chris was one of the ones who started the House of Prayer in like Kansas or somewhere where they do 24-7 prayer. Cool stuff.

So that's my week so far! God is so faithful! I really am glad he loved me first so I can love Him! He is so worthy of all our thanks, praise and love.

Unge på flugt

Unge på flugt. That is the title of what happened this weekend. The danish Red Cross came and put on a role playing game for our students. A translation could be "Young on the run." They put the students in 'families' and had to act as muslim refugees from Somalia. Then the next 24 hours was a gruelling time of running, hiding, getting 'arrested' and finally reaching Denmark. It started out with them going to the 'passport office' to fill out all the right paper work to be able to leave the country. They had to deal with the stress of getting denied and dealing with people who don't really care about their situation. Then they had to walk 5 km in the snow to try to get to the refugee camp. On the way they passed a checkpoint where the soldiers rifled through all their stuff, threw it on the ground, 'confiscated' valuables, and stole thier money. Then they walked more and were picked up by a 'boat' (it was really our bus) to take them across the sea. They had to lay down on the seats so no one could see them from outside. Then when they got to 'NoHope' the refugee camp, they had to sit on the cold floor in the garage and not talk for 3 hours. If they needed the washroom, they had to have a guard follow them. There each family only got one bag of rice and one cocktail weiner between them. And since they are 'muslim' they couldn't eat the pork wiener. Some converted on the spot. They got first aid supplies, but it was baby clothes and one shoe, things they couldn't use, because the first aid got robbed before it reached them. But finally they were allowed all the rice they could eat. Then the camp got attacked and they had to run to flee. One family got offered a ride, but when they couldn't pay all the driver wanted, they were dropped back off where they were picked up. Then I got to be in the van when the students were 'hunted.' The were making their way to Denmark along the road, and we would drive up and down with big flashlights trying to find them to arrest them. We were yelling out the windows for them and telling them to show themselves. This really got their adrenaline pumping and some have some funny stories of leaping over streams and not knowing how they could have ever jumped that far. After another 5 km, they were picked up by another transport and taken to Denmark where a family hid them in their basement. They had all just fallen to sleep when the cops came in and arrested them. They brought them over to the station, took their fingerprints and were kept there. Then after a few hours sleep, they were interviewed and told who recieved assylum and who didn't. Not everyone did after all that. It was a really cool game. There were only 9 Red Cross people with many different costumes to play all the roles. It looked like so much fun. I was talking to the main guy, and he said I could join in the future if I would like. I am so up for that! It sounds like a blast! One cool thing about the weekend is the testimony of the students. The Red Cross people kept saying how nice the students were and how good attitudes they had and had no problems. I guess we've taught them something this year!

London

So I had a fabulous time in London! We saw a lot of things! We arrived at our friends house at 4:30 in the morning! So after sleeping til noon, we woke up and had an english breakfast... bacon, eggs, toast, beans, fried tomato. It was great. Then we went to Hounslow, where the movie Bend it like Beckham was filmed. It is very Indian culture there, so I just had to buy a bangle. Which I did. Then that night we went to Wimbeldon village to a nice little pub to meet up with my travel mate's friends. After some good laughs, we headed home. The next day we went into the city to see the sites. We saw trafalgar square, big ben, westminster abby, London eye, Buckingham palace, and my personal favourite, Madame Troussauds wax museum! It was well worth the 21 pounds. We got our pictures taken with all the stars. And they have a Chamber of Horrors with live actors that freaked the pants off me! So good! But I'm thankful that I kept my pants on. That could have been embarrassing! The next day we went to the Equippers Church in the morning, home for a rest and then Starbucks and Hillsong Church at night! I got to see two friends from when I was in Hillsong College in Sydney. That was so good! Afterwards we went to Leciester Square and had icecream at the Haagen Daas restaurant!
The next day we spent shopping on Oxford street and we saw Guys and Dolls at the Picadilly Theater starring Don Johnson! What a treat! We raced back to our friends house to start our long journey home. We got a ride to the tube station to catch one of the last tubes to Heathrow airport. There Rebecca left her purse with EVERYTHING on the tube. But we ran to the guys and they radioed and found it all intact, Praise God. So we picked it up, then went back to Heathrow. We had to wait there till 3:30 am to catch the bus to Stansted Airport. We got to Stansted just before 5am. Then we had to wait til 5:30 to check in. Then once we passed security, we slept at our gate til boarding to take off at 7:30. Hour and a half later we landed in Denmark. We just barely caught the bus from the airport to the train station which is 45 mins. Then the train from Århus to Kolding. Then the bus from the Kolding station home! All said and done it was like 14 hours! Crazy! I slept for like 11 hours last night! Now I am on duty and have to teach and it's going to be great! Hopefully the students don't find the teacher sleeping in class!

woo hoo!

So I'm in Århus right now. I'm visiting my friend Anne whom I met at Hillsong College. It's been so great and so cozy! We are planning to go to the swim hall today, and shopping. And yesterday we visited with our other friend Louise and had such a great time catching up and having girl chat. We also went through Louise's wedding stuff. She is going to be such a gorgeous bride, I can't wait! Tomorrow I'm flying to London England! So excited about that! I have never been and can't wait to see the sights. I'm a little nervous about how expensive it is there, but i can live on canned tuna for five days, if need be! I will post more about that afterwards and show pictures! So excited!

What a weekend!

So I had a really good weekend! It all started out with a Switchfoot concert on Friday night! They were amazing, and their new cd rocks! But I'm going to wait till Canada to buy it, it's much cheaper there. Here it's 30 dollars! Anyways, I met some of my friends there, mainly Louise and Joachim who are now engaged! And my friend Signe whose house I went to afterwards. It was a 3 hour drive from the concert back to Copenhagen, and since I was shotgun, I had to stay awake to keep the driver awake. That was fun! At one point we stopped at a turnout to do a chinese fire drill to get the juices flowing. But 3:30am rolled around and I finally got into bed! The next day was Signe's goodbye party as she is moving back to Australia for two years of design school! That was fun, I met new people and had a pause to go talk to my family on webcam. Then we went to the biggest church in Denmark for Sunday service. There I found a CD I've been looking everywhere for! Then it was Return of the King, and then saying goodbye to Signe for real. I stayed the night at her sister Sara's house because I knew the way to the train station from there. We stayed up talking past midnight, then we decided we needed to sleep. I was up at 6am, out by 6:10, and on the train home by 6:25. Well, I am tired, but I took a nice long nap once I got home. So that was my weekend in a very short nutshell. Believe me, I could elaborate more, but then I would have nothing to talk about the next time I see you! Hehe. Anyways. Hope all you who read this are doing amazing! God bless!

Who, me?

I am so blessed, and so humbled. My students got together and raised some money for me so that I could go visit my friends who live in different cities, so I can have a break and not be so lonely. How amazing are they! I had no idea they would do that, and feel so honored to have such thoughtful generous kids here. I was stupidly stressed about money, but God has heard my prayers and come to answer my cries using these beautiful students. God is a good God. I just pray that the blessing is returned back to each and every one of them. I am full of mistakes, and can be so stupid sometimes, but God still chooses to bless me. I would just like to put that out there. I went to the Young Adults meeting in the church last night and had a really awesome time. There are having a School of Ministry every last Sunday of the month there, so I joined the Prophetic class. It was so good. One girl got a really encouraging word for me. She said she saw me on a flying carpet flying high in the sky, having a good time. Then she said she felt it meant that I would fly over my problems, not put them lightly, but not be affected by them so much because I know that God is with me and helping me through them because He is the flying carpet. She said she saw me being unlike others who are down on the ground dealing with their problems, but I had something special with God. She said I stand out because of my smile and God's presence shining through me. How cool is that?! So that, needless to say, was very encouraging. I have had similar words like that in the past, so it's kind of crazy. One word I had before was when I was at Tahilla Monday in Calgary. Pastor Steve stopped the ending worship set to point me out and give me a word. He said that I was going to have such a great life. He wanted to laugh and cry at the same time for how great it was going to be. He said that most people are on a tightrope going through life and have to be careful not to make a wrong step, but my life was like a big, wide open field that I could go running through and dancing in. He said again that I was going to have a great life. And I would have to say, so far he's right! I have had the best life I could imagine! I'm living the life I want, and God is there every step of the way blessing me beyond what I can imagine. He is so good to me! I love that with God, all things are possible, so I'm running through the field and excited for what is going to happen next. Well, this blog entry is a lot more cheerful than the last one, eh? God is so good.

Hey all who read this. I need your help. I've been feeling a little down lately, well, a LOT down. Let's just say my pillow case needs to be de-salted. If you could please pray for me. I'm feeling really lonely and homesick. It is really hard for me here in this Scandinavian culture. In my city I have no friends outside of Euroclass where I work. And that is really really hard for a sanguine extrovert like myself. I'm used to having many many friends and something to do anytime I want, and people to hang out with always. And now, I have no one it seems. I can't really have best friends amoungst the students, can't show favouritism or anything. And the other leaders have their lives or have to work here, so they can't leave the building. Or like we all deal with, we have no money to do the stuff we want. And that includes going to another town to see my good friends. I would do that all the time if I could. But I can't. So needless to say, the past 6 months of loneliness feel like they are culminating in this moment. So please pray. I have been to the young adults group here, but the people are so reserved and not very friendly or welcoming. Yes, they are civil and nice, but when it comes to inviting me out to just hang, or do whatever, well... there is just none of that. So please pray for a breakthrough for me. I can't do this alone. It's just not in my personality or nature. I NEED friends to keep me sane and keep me from not killing my students.
Thank you for all your understanding and prayer! God bless!

Today we went to Flensburg, Germany. Some of us went ice skating while some of the others went swimming. It was a lot of fun. We did all the things you ought when skating with a large group. We took loads of pictures for starters, and of many

different things. We slid on our bellies on the ice, we laid down with our heads together as pictured, we made long trains, and we drank hot chocolate. (I ordered two hot chocolates in english, but then he grabbed the hot dog buns, so fortunately I stopped him before he grilled them. I didn't think the buns were to replace biscotti.) After our two and a half hours of fun and sore ankles, we popped on over to the supermarket. Whenever you are in Germany, you must buy lots of candy and pop. At least that's how it's been. It's much cheaper there, so we always stock up. I try to be careful though, because if I stock up on candy, I also will stock up in pounds. Don't want that! Over all it was a fun day. On the way home however, we witnessed an accident. The car in front of us started swerving and then started rolling. It ended upside down in the shoulder. We stopped and only one guy was there. He crawled out the window and didn't have a scratch on him. It was a miracle! So we brought him in the bus and gave him a pepsi while we waited for the cops to show up. Poor guy, 19 and just got his liscense. Now he has a totalled car. But at least he has his life! Well, that's my news for today! Cheers!

Today was a good day again! It finally snowed. There's nothing worse than having a miserable snowless winter. If it's going to be this cold, there might as well be snow. We've just had heaps and heaps of rain, which is no fun to play in. So finally the rain turned to snow. So today, to celebrate, we went over to the Bible school where the lake is, which also has the perfect sledding hills. One has to be careful though, that you don't sled too far and slide into the lake. So we grabbed our extra large industrial garbage bags and were off. One guy, Toby, stuck his head through the bag with just a hole in the top so his arms were stuck inside. Then off he went, on his stomach, and he kept going and going and... (I have to pause because I still laugh hysterically at the mental picture) he slid right into the lake! Splash! And to make matters worse, because his arms were stuck inside the bag, he couldn't get out right away. Oh the poor guy, he was so cold, and I was so mean - I just couldn't stop laughing! But he was alright. Just some stinky wet shoes to wash after he went back to change and shower. I made him some hot chocolate and he was able to forgive me for laughing as hard as I did. Hehe. It was so funny! Tip for the day: don't go sledding by a lake that isn't completely frozen over yet!

Rolling laughter

So you know the feeling when you laugh so hard your stomach aches? I had that at least three times today. The first time was just after dinner time. We were hanging out in the dining room making fun. And really, when you really think about it, the things we did weren't that funny. One girl was laughing so hard she snotted out her nose. And that just didn't help the situation. Then one would laugh, and I would laugh at her, then we would laugh together... it was a mess really, but so much fun. Then, because Marie-Louise and I ate two pieces of white bread for dinner, we decided to go for a walk to town to burn it off and then fake-n-bake while we were there. Just as we decided to do that, the rain started. And it seemed torrential. But being the troopers that we are, we thought it would be fun to play in the rain and go for a walk anyways. So we borrowed people's rain jackets and pants, bundled up and went for it. The walk started with us laughing at ourselves so hard because we looked like a pair of fat, old sisters out for a stroll. After we finished laughing about that, we realized that it wasn't even raining! The whole hour long walk, it didn't rain one drop! Here we looked like the biggest dorks, to no avail. But I'm glad we borrowed the rain gear, because on the way home we stopped by the Bible School nearby where they have a big hill. And we did what any normal person would do who already felt like a dork (and looked the part too), we rolled down. We rolled into each other, we rolled so far apart, we couldn't see each other. We just kept on rolling. And of course, as we did that, the laughter rolled as well. Laughter really is a good medicine. I feel so good right now! If you haven't laughed really hard in a while, I suggest you dress like a dork and do something crazy with a good friend! Works like a charm.

Nature Walk

So right around the corner from my "house" (I use that term lightly as it is actually just a big dorm house/school building where EVERYTHING happens) we have a beautiful lake. I went there one day with a camera and was inspired. My only thoughts at the moment are why don't I take advantage of this beautiful lake more often? There are so many times when I'm here in my "house" bored out of my mind, and just a few short minutes away is a beautiful little oasis of peace and tranquility. But I guess I'm just not that type. Maybe in the summer when the weather is nicer and not so bone chilling. And when the sun shines giving the hope of a tan, then I shall frequent this "oasis of peace and tranquility" a little more often. But for now I will just write about it and wonder!

And when I was on my little jaunt to the lake with my Olympus Digital, I decided that it might be fun to go for a nice long walk to try to find some interesting pictures. So here are some that I came up with. Maybe you don't think they are particularily cool, but I quite enjoy them! One is of a random tunnel under a road in the middle of nowhere surrounded by pastures. And one is of the hedge in the middle of a road and houses. I guess, really, I have no real use for pictures such as these, so I might as well utilize them in my blog! We are continuing in 24 hour prayer until Friday. So far it's been so great. The theme this year comes from John 10:10, "The thief comes to steal, kill and destroy, but I have come that you may have life, and life abundant." So we set up the classroom with two main themes. On one side you have the "desert" where there is dead trees and a jail, as well as pictures of depravity. Then on the other side you have the "oasis" complete with a cushioned sitting area like one from a gypsies tent in an oasis in the middle of the sahara. Here they can relax and fall in love with the Creator. There are also different areas of interest. There is a creative table with crayons and papers and paint to create what you feel at that time. As well, you can write a letter to God and put it in the "post box" which will later be burned and offered up to God. There you can also write down things that you want to get rid of in your life and then shred them and stick them in the toilet to be "flushed away." There is a punching bag, so you can sock it to the devil. The students can tape any frustrating thing in thier life to the bag, and then let it have it! We have flags of all the countries we are associated with around the room to pray for, as well as paper on the walls so people can write thier prayer requests down for others to pray for. We have a computer set up in the corner so worship music plays non stop the whole time. It's amazing how much worship music is out there. We have enough for 6 days straight, and that doesn't include my music! Over all it is a very cozy atmosphere, or as they would say, it's "hyggeligt." We are only in the second day, but I know there are breakthroughs happened in peoples lives, and this will be a week they will always remember. Although I have caught people sleeping in the pillow section. But, that is life I guess, you will always get the sleepers, no matter how hard you try.

So last night I made pillows. I know, I know. This is exciting stuff. But I'm a firm believer that you can make any mundane boring task fun, if you use your imagination and just relax. We had a sheet of foam that we had to cut up into little tiny squares to fill the pillows with. It started out with some good girl music, Norah Jones, and some good girl chatter. Then one piece flew in the air and innocently landed against my nose and rolled to the ground. Then of course I had to retaliate with not just one piece but two. I had to show them who was the leader in this situation. Next thing we know, we are in an all out foam tossing war. It stuck in our hair, stuck to our socks, and even managed to find it's way on the inside of our clothing. At one point I had my mouth open and they were all trying to toss the foam in there. I have never laughed so hard in a long long time. Now, it could have been a mixture of sleep deprivation and the soda I had earlier, but all the same, it was some good times. Everyone needs a little foam war to ease the worries of the day. But I was thinking, if you're not making pillows but say... cabinets, don't get in a nail war, it's just not the same.

Okay, one more!

Okay, so it's the same day as my last post, but you know when you are excited about something and you just want to do it over and over? Well... Yes, I'm well aware of my nerd tendencies, but I'm not ashamed! There is nothing wrong with being a nerd! It can be lots of fun, let me tell you. Those Star Trek conventions can get really wild and crazy. And last Tuesday I put two spoons of sugar in my green tea. I just wanted to add this picture because it is my favourite picture. I just love how you can see that the world is round. Now, it's not actually me, it's my friend Victor. But that's because he bought the package and I didn't. But we did the exact same jump, and you wouldn't have known unless I told you. So... Yes, acutally, it is me!

My maiden voyage of blogging!

Hello! So here I am, succombing to societal pressure to start and maintain a blog. Okay, so there's no pressure, but I feel like I'm on the brink of a new addiction. I have my myspace, which I am addicted to upkeeping. And now, as if I didn't have enough to waste my time on, I'm starting a blog site. But, as any good blogger would, I have my excuses. This way all my friends and family back home can catch up on all my news, or just glimpse inside my psyche if they are going through withdrawl. So I say 'Cheers' to the inaugural start of my blogging career.
